Efficient searching for scientific information starts with analysing. You analyse your assignment and the background information that you have in order to formulate a general research topic. You split your research topic into sub-questions, which you then use to create a search plan.

With a good search plan, you know what you are looking for and you can be reasonably sure that you won't miss any important information. It ensures that your search results are relevant and complete.
